What equity release is
Equity release lets homeowners aged 55 and over take tax-free money from their home without moving. You can take it as a lump sum or in smaller amounts over time. It’s usually repaid from the sale of your home when you die or move into long-term care.
It’s a big decision with long-term effects for you and your family. We take our time, explain every option, including alternatives such as downsizing, and welcome family members to every appointment.

Questions about equity release
How old do I need to be?
Usually 55 or over, although some plans have a higher minimum age.
Will I still own my home?
With a lifetime mortgage, you keep ownership of your home. A home reversion plan is different: you sell all or part of your home to the provider. We’ll explain both.
What does it cost?
Our typical fee for equity release is £995, charged on completion.
